Valentine's Recap and Update

**Warning** a picture free post!

Now that February is coming to an end, a recap of our Valentine's activities:

~The girls and I used a gingerbread house that someone had given us at Christmastime to make a Valentine's house.  We used candy hearts, the red and white candies that came with the kit and m&m's to decorate.  It turned out super cute and I may just have to buy gingerbread houses on clearance after Christmas from now on!
~Eric took the girls for a special Valentine's date to see The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe at the Peace Center.  They were beyond excited and loved every second of it (they love the Narnia series and have listened to most of the audio books)!  They were thrilled to get to meet the cast and have their programs signed after the performance!
~We ate a pizza dinner by candlelight on Valentine's Day and made a special gift for daddy (I'll have to post pics of that sometime soon!) to take to his office!

And a small update . . . in case you haven't heard (and I mean that quite literally -- it's loud around here!), we have added another member to our family.

It's a boy!

And we are all adjusting!

I'm sure more adventures will follow . . .

It Can't Be . . .

It can't be that my sweet Katie turned 4 this week!

That would mean that she's moved into the little girl stage of her life.

And that . . . just can't be!

In the last four years she's grown into a sweet, loving little sister.

But, she's adapted to the role of big sister beautifully and is so good at it!

She's full of life, energy, love and questions.

She loves baby dolls, singing, school, her sisters (and her new brother; more on that later)!

She is unpredictable, unique, happy and so very, very loved!

Happy Birthday, Katherine Loren!
